Thank you all for the high participation level (over 200 responses!) of the Inventory Process Project Field survey sent out in May. This inventory survey helps us find the most practical truck stock and parts for our technicians, along with inventory reporting. We have partnered with Crowe Consultants to continue finding ways to improve our vans and inventory.
The Crowe Consultants are starting to run a “Pilot” approach in select offices over the next several weeks to identify what works and what does not before rolling out to the remaining offices. The pilot testing started in the Kansas region and will make its way through the midwest region over the summer.
“The input the entire team gave for the survey helped in the development of the pilot program that is currently in place. This pilot includes the development of regional Truck Stock inventory lists, ease of set up and storage in trucks, and eventual ease of ordering and restocking of the vans for the technicians. The team really knew what needed to be done on
the broad scope, now the pilot will drive home efficiency.” – Joe Arcikowski, CMS Nextech VP of Midwest Operations
“Several process adjustments focused on inventory and purchasing efficiencies are being tested with technicians over the course of the next 2 months in a pilot program. Following the pilot program, the new processes will be rolled out across the business and directly address the issues identified in the survey.” -Jack Heinle, Crowe
Stay tuned for more to come on this exciting project in the upcoming months!
